“Won’t do a project that has ‘CRASS’ language in the name of comedy.” – Chitrashi Rawat
In conversation with ‘Chak De India’ fame, Chitrashi Rawat…
After charming the audience in Bollywood film Chak De India, good-looking actress Chitrashi Rawat will be back in an all new avatar and this time with a web series!
We have already reported about the talented comedy writer Amit Aaryan launching his web series – Filmbaaz Cafe, for which he has brought on board some very talented faces. Chitrashi Rawat will also be a part of the series.
When asked about her excitement to be a part of the project, she averred, “Web series is a growing trend and today, we see people exploring a different kind of content on the digital medium. Amit Aaryan is a renowned writer and I have full faith in him and the fact that Chameli and Friends would do well. I have earlier been a part of a web series but I was very disappointed as I would not like to be a part of a project which targets, insults and uses crass language in the name of comedy. I am excited to have been given this opportunity to be a part of such a simple and humorous series.”
Shedding some light on her character, Chitrashi said, “Well, I play Chameli and my tagline is – Atpatti, Chatpatti Chameli. She is an ordinary girl from North India and it will be funny to see her making herself comfortable in the city of dreams, Mumbai.”
Talking about her career in films, the actress quipped, “I am doing films but they are comparatively lesser in budget. Moreover, theater keeps me busy to actively participate in TV or films.”
Good-luck Chitrashi!
