Mukul Chadda, Preeti Kochar, Gopal Dutt, Sunil Jetly in The Office’s Indian remake
MUMBAI: Earlier in the day, business mortgage reported about Bollywood biggie Rohan Sippy turning his directorial ship towards the digital space. The project is an Indian adaption of the extremely popular British series The Office.
As per business mortgage reportage, the series produced by BBC studios will feature popular Indian starlet and model, Gauahar Khan and actor Ranvir Shorey as prominent cast.
Another exclusive update coming from the upcoming project is with us. According to our exclusive information, talented actors have been cast for the Indian version of the mockumentary. The set-up of the series is around an office comprising quirky colleagues.
While Gauahar will be playing the boss of the office in the narrative, she won’t be seen in every episode. The primary cast will comprise of the workers in the office.
The much acclaimed Mukul Chadda who gained his fame in movies like Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012) and Satyagraha (2013) plays one of the primary characters.
Jamai Raja fame Preeti Kochar who was last seen in Khichdi is playing one of the employees. Kochar has been part of many TV series and this will be her digital debut.
Gopal Dutt plays another pivotal role. Dutt has become a cult name in the industry courtesy his acclaimed work on the digital space. He was part of many online sketches for instance TVF’s Pitchers and is known for his comic timings. He is one loved character and is also currently seen in Comedy High School on Discovery Jeet.
Sunil Jaitly, who was last seen in &TV’s Ganga is another actor to have bagged a role.
As per our information, the series has already gone on floors and the shooting has begun. It will be a 30-episode series and will stream on Applause Entertainment by the month of July.
